It’s time to start planning for summer and we have several great camping opportunities for the youth at Grace church. Registration forms will be mailed soon and extra forms may be picked up at the church office. Here are the details:

Mid-High Camps

Mid-HI District Camp

“Faith is a journey not just a destination”

June 5-9  Canyon Camp

District Camp is an action packed, spiritual learning experience.  Will be fantastic, week filled with hundreds of student from across OKC metro area and beyond to experience Christ anew in worship and community.  You will get to meet new friends and renew old friendships, connect with God in nightly worship services and participate in small group discussions.  All of this plus tons of free times options, such as swimming, basketball, and sand volleyball competitions.

Wilderness Camp

for students entering Grades 7-8

June 15-21

Held at Wilderness Camp Near Canyon Camp

Wilderness Camp is a challenging adventure to develop personal skills, specifically how to listen to others, how to express your own needs and ideas, the need to care for members of your group, and how to make group decisions. Each group of eight to ten youth and two adult campers will plan their own meals, hikes and activities in the colorful, historic Wilderness Canyons.

There are no classrooms, but youth learn many things. Among them, how to build a campfire and cook out-of-doors. Additional staff of Middle Path adults offer health support, TLC, supervision, a balanced daily lunch, and inspirational guidance. Wilderness Camp is a unique seven day, six night adventure to create a Christian community while living in the out-of-doors.

Unplugged

For youth Grades 10-12

Cross Point Camp June 9-11

Unplugged is a camp for those who are ready to unplug from stuff that others think you ought to believe, even from electronic music (well maybe there will be some!) Youth help design this camp which empowers the questions, intellect and fun of the youth spirit. At this weekend camp, youth can be “laid back” or highly active. Rappelling, art, ropes course, drumming, dance, late night camp fires and a coffee house are activities where youth can enjoy one another

Dayspring West

July 24-28 at Canyon Camp

“Threshold”

Dayspring is a discipleship camp for senior high youth (rising 9th graders – graduated seniors), and is built on the central premise that Jesus is the fullest and best revelation of a loving God. Campers are challenged through B.A.S.I.C. groups, spirited worship and hot topic, biblical workshops to live the radical life of one who follows Jesus.

Special emphasis is given to graduated seniors to help them make the transition from high school to college. There are also late night activities and plenty of recreational activities to strengthen the bonds of friendships made at camp. Dayspring is one camp that happens at three different sites.
